External adjustment allows fine-tuning of oil pump bypass pressure. Inlet area is increased to prevent cavitation. Thrust bearing assembly increases housing and gear life due to drive shaft axial forces on the drive gear. Pump will clear 5.25" stroke with most aluminum rods. Engineered to fit 8" deep fabricated aluminum oil pans.
