Brodix has really done a great job on the big block aluminum cylinder block. The cylinder block is made of A-356 virgin aluminum to assure maximum potential for strength and reparability. The cast iron sleeves us a 1/4 register to position them correctly in the cylinder block and can be bored out to a bore size of 4.600.
8B2000 series cylinder blocks can be ordered with many different roller camshaft bearing sizes ranging from standard Chevrolet to big block Ford roller. Splayed billet main caps are made of 1044 steel and are coated with block oxide. The 8B2000A is a direct replacement for cast iron cylinder blocks.
